The Perfect Wedding Skincare Schedule: How to Prep Your Skin Before Your Big Day!

Wedding planning in general can be stressful so the last thing you want is for that stress to show up on your face! Here are our recommendations on how to get picture perfect skin before your big day:

Three Months Before

Pre-wedding skincare can start as early as 6 months to a year but we think at three months, that is enough time to start amplifying your routine. At 3 months, you should be increasing the hydration and nourishment of your skin more than you normally would. Starting off, we highly recommend increasing your water intake - we should be drinking at least 1 gallon of water a day to release toxins we are holding on to. You will be surprised at how much your water intake improves not only your skin, but overall health like bloating, weight loss and energy levels. If you are looking for some extra TLC and want to get a professional facial, we recommend a Hydra Facial treatment, which is a treatment designed to exfoliate, extract and hydrate your skin. It leads to a beautiful, natural glow you will want leading up to your wedding day.

One Month Before

This is the cut off for starting a new regime - we highly suggest solidifying your skin care routine. Always remember, LESS IS MORE! The more you let your skin be skin and take care of itself, the less agitated it will be. We suggest a nourishing face wash, a good scrub/mask, hydrating toner (yes, even for oily skin), and a moisturizer that is tailored to your skin type.

Now that we have topicals down pact - focus on nutrition. We suggest having a side of dark green veggies with every single meal (yes even breakfast)! This will help your gut health and in turn leave you glowing and de-bloated!

One Week Before

Focus on hydration, hydration, hydration! Nix your exfoliators and retinoids this week to avoid any kind of irritation on your big day. Opt for moisturizing serums and soothing toners to quench the skin.

One Day Before

Get a good night’s sleep. Try to remove yourself from stress and truly relax. Use essential oils or melatonin if you need some help to unwind. Anything opposite of good rest will show up on your face.

When it comes to your skin, it is very vital to remember that as the seasons change, so should your skincare routine.
